Jesus Christ our Justification
Jesus Christ our Justification.
Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in His sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets. Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Romans 3v19-24.
During our last couple of studies on the subject of The Centrality of Christianity, we have examined;
Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in His sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

During our last couple of studies on the subject of The Centrality of Christianity, we have examined;
- Man’s need of justification.
- Man’s desire for justification.
- Man’s attempt to justification.
As we again look at the portion of scripture from Romans 3v19-24 we are reminded that;
By the works or deeds of the Law no flesh can be justified in the eyes of God.
The giving of the Law with all of its requirements, of what to do and what not to do, was not given to man to justify him, but was given to mankind by God to show the need of a Saviour.
All of Grace.
The whole of the Gospel message given into the hands of the Church, the Body of Christ, is that it is no longer a case of what man has to do, but thank God , our message is to proclaim for all to see and hear and receive all that Christ has accomplished for man to be justified with God.
Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Romans 3v19-24.
Justification through Christ only.
Justification is not on the merits of man, but it is a free gift that God bestows through the redemptive work of grace wrought through Jesus Christ.
Justification by Jesus’ blood.
Although we say justification is a free gift of God, the Apostle Paul stresses the tremendous cost of justification, yes free to man, but very costly to God.
Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
Romans 5v9.
The whole race of man, are justified, or deemed acceptable to God because of the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
The grace of God is the source of our justification ,but Jesus willingly offering up His lifeblood is the ground of our acceptance with God.
Not by blood of animals, but by Christ’s Blood.
Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once into the Holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Hebrews 9v12-14.
The blood before Almighty God in His presence.
All of the countless animals that were sacrificed under the Levitical Priesthood could not justify man.
All of the blood that was applied to the earthly mercy seat, could only cover.
But when Jesus entered into the Heavenly Holy of Holies and presented His precious blood , God honoured His Son’s sacrifice, and God who imputed man’s sin against them, now imparts His justification to man, because of the merit of the Blood of Jesus Christ.
Faith and Justification.
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: Romans 5v1.
From the assurance of the scriptures, justification for man has been accomplished through God honouring and accepting the blood of Jesus Christ on the Heavenly Holy of Holies, therefore the blood of Christ has secured man’s acceptance before God, but faith in the completed work of Christ appropriates the fullness of the benefits of justification into the life of the individual.
Many times people use the phrase - justified means;
Just as if I never sinned.
A few years ago, while teaching on the blood of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit prompted me with this thought;
Because of the blood of Jesus shed for and its blessing received, your standing in Christ before God is that He sees you as if sin had never touched you.
Not of works, but of faith alone.
We are justified, not by our works, not by our merit, but by Christ and His accomplished work of Grace, we are soundly justified and made righteous through His blood, and we have peace with God.
And, having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself; by Him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath He reconciled.
In the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in His sight: Colossians 1v20-22.
We have peace now with God, that is our legal right in Christ, that is how God sees and treats us, this is our present standing in Christ.
Moreover whom He did predestinate, them he also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified.
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us
Romans 8v30-34.
Because of the death, burial, resurrection, ascension and the intercession of our Lord Jesus Christ the believer, being in Christ is secure from all condemnation, Christian you are the;
- Called out of the world.
- Translated into the Kingdom of Christ.
- Justified in Christ.
- Cleansed in the blood.
- Glorified in with Christ.
- Heirs of eternal life.
Not
by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His
mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the
Holy Ghost;
Which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
That being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Titus 3v5-7.
Justified in Christ free from the wrath of God.
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Romans 5v9.
Because of our justification, our legal standing in Christ, we will have no part in the wrath of God that shall be poured out onto this earth in the end time, we are NOW justified.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5v24.
Justified in Christ , we are to reign in life.
And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offenses unto justification.
For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.
Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of One the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
Romans 5v16-18.
Which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
That being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Titus 3v5-7.
Justified in Christ free from the wrath of God.
