Abiding In, and Moving out in The Love of God.
The Even As of Christianity. Part 13.
Abiding In, and Moving out in The Love of God.
"If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you. "My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. "Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. "If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. John 15v7-10.
Throughout the course of this teaching series, I have perceived the prompting of the Holy Spirit that this Word although to the mass body of Christ in its content, there is the strong emphasis of the moving of the Holy Spirit to convey the truths of this study into the heart of each individual believer, I have received by the Holy Spirit that it is the responsibility of each believer to pick up the call of Almighty God, to engage in the pursuit of taking hold of Almighty God, to attain to the life that Christ has in Himself and which He desires to have manifested through the body, the redeemed of the Lord, this must be the earnest desire of the individual believer.
As you examine the claims of Jesus, as you examine the commandment that Christ gives to His disciples there is an unveiling of the necessity of a twofold abiding that the believer in Christ must attain to, the first is to abide or be fixed in Christ as Saviour, then have developed in the believer, Christ as the empowering life source.
Jesus’ mandate for the individual believer is to be fixed firm in Him, and to have His life, power and influence firmly established within, and ministering through this redeemed vessel of clay.
The abiding in Christ is the positional existence of the believer on their confession of Christ, through being joined with Christ by the regeneration of the Holy Spirit, the believer loses his own identity, and becomes a new creation, the purpose of the Holy Spirit, His work and ministry in the life, in the hidden core of man, within the spirit of man is to conform the believer into the image of Christ, and then work into and through the believer the newness of the life of Christ, through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit the love in which Christ loves is imparted, infused into the inner core of the believer.
and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5v5.
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. "By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." John 13v34-35.
The Will of Almighty God for the church, the redeemed body of Christ is that we be governed, and influenced by the love in which Christ Himself loved us, Jesus has set a high standard on the volume and intensity of the love that should be evident in the life of the believer, Christ will settle for nothing less than the depth, length, height and width that He poured out, that He lavished onto the entire race of mankind, as I loved, you love, this is the demand of Christ for every believer.
The love in which Christ loves knows no limits, it possesses no boundaries, His love is boundless in quality and quantity, and as He loved should be the benchmark of the love which should be evident in the life of the church, and manifested through the church.
From the lips of Jesus Christ Himself, we have the greatest witness of the life of Christianity, to a hurt, lost and wounded world, this is to embrace, and demonstrate the love of God to each other in the body of Christ, and through the administration of the love of God to the church, by the church, the overflow of this love in action will give living proof to the world of the love of Christ to and for the whole race of mankind.
Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace. For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.
And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ; having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. Philippians 1v7-11.
When you examine the expressions of the heart of the Apostle Paul which he laid bare to the believers in Philippi the emphasis is that of an effectual, a fervency, a longing with intensity, a compulsion to witness, in the heart of the apostle was an all consuming love for the believer, the apostle was able to be so knowledgeable of the love in which Christ loved, that he himself was able to love the church with this same force or life of love.
The Apostle Paul was able to discern the inner desire of Christ for the church, that he shared this concern and held it within his own bowels, established in the inner core, or hidden spirit of the Apostle Paul was this deep seated, overwhelming love and concern for the church, this love compelled him to seek after the needs of the believer, to lead them into the life of Christ, to bring them into a deeper understanding of their place in Christ.
Every believer, has within them the capacity to love as Christ loved, the believer must press beyond the doctrines of the church and apply the divine life that has been poured out into the life of the Christian, the love of Almighty God has been infused into vessels of clay for the divine purpose of being able ministers of the kingdom of Christ.
Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge. 2 Corinthians 5v5.
Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him.2 Corinthians 5v9.
Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest to God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences. 2 Corinthians 5v11.
By the prompting of the Holy Spirit there came to my spirit a word of exhortation and the perception of the importance of the believer not only being a recipient of the love of Almighty God, but of the vital requirement of the believer being a channel of the Holy Spirit to minister the kingdom of Christ in the power of the love of God.
“ They that say they abide in Christ, must therefore have and demonstrate the divine fruit of abiding in the vine, the highest call of the redeemed of the Lord is to have the life of Christ lived out to bring glory and honour to the Redeemer of the souls of man, the highest and greatest evidence to a world lost and broken is for the believer in Christ to have in them and through them the power of the love of God, this love must be the rule and reign of the life of the believer, this divine life must be given to those who are loved and cherished of God”.
Every believer through the abiding in Christ, and through the abiding of the Holy Spirit within their regenerated spirit of man, has the power of the love of Almighty God, this love is the life that must govern and dominate the life of the individual believer to be equipped to move out into the depth of ministry that Christ has ordained for those who will take up the call of salvation and Lordship of Christ, the greatest motivation, the greatest desire in the heart of the believer is to be found and accepted in Christ, not only receiving His gift of salvation, but also the empowering to live a life on this earth that is pleasing and honourable to His glory, the great motive in the heart of the believer is not to just be loved of God, but to cultivate this love and manifest it to those who are unloved and unlovable through the fall of man.
For the love of Christ constrains us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: 2 Corinthians 5v14
