The Church Has A Destiny. Part 2.
A New Awakening.
Do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we believed. The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts. Romans 13v11-14.
"Awake, awake, Deborah; Awake, awake, sing a song! Arise, Barak, and take away your captives, O son of Abinoam. Then he made him that remained have dominion over the nobles among the people: the LORD made me have dominion over the mighty. Judges 5v12-13.
There is a call that every believer needs to give their ear to, this is a call that is going out into the body of Christ, the call is from the Spirit of God, it is a call for action.
The church, the body of Christ in this earth needs to be aroused, needs to be awaken from the state of apathy, the believer needs to regain the fullness of the revelation of the plan, purpose and existence of the church in this earth.
The believer in Christ, must have a fresh revelation of Jesus Christ and see Him as He is today, high and lifted up, enthroned at the right hand of Almighty God, seated and exalted in power, glory and authority, but the believer as an individual and as a body must have a new vision of how the church should be operating in this earth.
The church needs again to attain to the high ground of the calling of Almighty God, the church desperately needs to evaluate the time that we are living in, and to understand that Almighty God has purposed for the body of believers to stand in this world, and stand out as the representatives of the kingdom of Christ in the earth.
The Strength of the Counsel of God.
"Remember the former things long past, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, 'My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure'; Isaiah 46v9-10.
For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him. 2 Chronicles 16v9.
When Almighty God brought forth the conception of the body of Christ into this earth, He never intended for it to loses any of its potency and strength, when the Holy Spirit came in all of His grace and power and entered into the vessels of redeemed clay in the upper room there was never the thought that the anointing would diminish, the gifts, signs and wonders that were evident in the early days of the church in Jerusalem were for the express purpose of the witness and testimony that Christ’s power of resurrection was now increased into the earth through the body of Christ.
Almighty God’s power to save, heal, deliver and transform, which was manifested into the earth through the ministry of Jesus Christ by the empowering of the Holy Spirit, was to be openly manifested to the world through the church, once infused into the body of Christ by the coming of the Holy Spirit, Almighty God never intended for the miraculous power of the anointing to cease its work in the earth, there is no diminishing in God, and there should be no diminishing of the power of the abiding Holy Ghost in the body of Christ.
When the Holy Spirit came into this earth, sent by Almighty God in answer to the High Priestly prayer of Jesus Christ, His coming into the lives of those gathered in obedience to the call of Jesus Christ was to bring in the dispensation of the grace of God and the miraculous ministry of the anointing in the vessels of redeemed clay, in the mind of Almighty God He intended for the church, the body of Christ to be flowing in a continual, unlimited and immeasurable supply of the Holy Spirit.
When Almighty God brought the church into existence in that upper room, when the person, presence and power of the Holy Spirit rested upon and in filled those gathered there, it was for the specific purpose of demonstrating His signs, miracles and wonders into this world, the coming of the Holy Spirit was valid proof of the glorious ascension and the enthroned Lordship of Jesus Christ on the right hand of the majesty of Almighty God, when the Holy Spirit came upon and filled those disciples in the upper room each believer was given the seal of the authority of Jesus Christ, that authority has never been revoked by Almighty God.
Almighty God in raising up Jesus Christ from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit, brought the same authority and power into the body of Christ, the church in this earth, to bring men out of darkness, bondage, and sickness, into liberty, eternal life, dominion and transformed lives.
The Essential Requirement of The Believer.
A New Awakening, and a Change of Course.
An Exhortation of the Holy Spirit.
“Almighty God by the searching of the Word of God through the Holy Spirit is desiring, is calling a remnant back to Himself, a people who will awaken to the urgency of the hour, to be conscious that the great commission has not been carried forth in their generation, this people will be a people who desire to turn their way, to retrace their steps, and find again the ancient pathway of hearing the voice of their Good Shepherd, and seeking to follow hard after Him, this people will have a heart to abide in His Will, and have His purposes wrought again in the midst of this earth, this people will not seek nor desire the trappings of following, but will earnestly contend again for the glory of being received and known of God.”
Now therefore go to, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a device against you: return ye now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good. And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart.
Therefore thus saith the LORD; Ask ye now among the heathen, who hath heard such things: the virgin of Israel hath done a very horrible thing. Will a man leave the snow of Lebanon which cometh from the rock of the field? or shall the cold flowing waters that come from another place be forsaken? Because my people hath forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a way not cast up; To make their land desolate, and a perpetual hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished, and wag his head. Jeremiah 18v11-16.
There has to be an abandonment of self works, and the casting away of self trust, the believer who desires to once again see the glory of the Kingdom of Christ amongst men must turn their back on the ways of the flesh and pursue to draw into the strength and flow of the Holy Spirit, when the Holy Spirit came into the earth, when He hovered over the body of the church in the upper room His assignment was to empower and lead the church, the call of the believer is to receive the anointing and walk in the Spirit and not to rely on the way of the world or lean to the flesh.
The call of Almighty God, The claim of Christ over those who own His name is to walk in His way, rely on His power and execute His authority through the person of His Holy Spirit.
Relying on the Person of the Holy Spirit.
Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'" But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. John 7v37-39.
For the believer as an individual, and for the body of Christ as a whole to be effective in this call of the Spirit of God there has to be a total yielding up of the life of the believer to the power of the Holy Spirit, we must understand the workings of the mind of God, we must re-evaluate the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the church, when Zechariah, a prophet under the Old Testament was admonished not to lean or trust in his own hand of power but to minister in the power, the might of the Holy Spirit, this was the direct mandate from Almighty God for the execution of the working of the will and purposes of God through His people to effect the world, to influence and govern their lives to produce change and transformation, the will of God has not changed in any degree, each believer must conform their lives, must give their lives over to the person and the power of the Holy Spirit .
